FPA – Medical Causes of Facial Pain
The FPA held a two day video conference in January 2022 we highlight the Medical Causes of Facial Pain.
The organisation is now releasing the videos for sufferers who did not attend, and other organisations working with sufferers of Trigeminal Neuralgia and other Facial Pain
Dr Hossein Ansari presented a very detailed analysis for the reasons and conditions which cause Facial Pain. During his presentation he emphasised many times, that the detailed history of the patient was the most important tool. The MRI is used to ensure the patient does not have a tumour.
One of the most depressing things to be told when a patient suspects they have TN, is the news that their MRI shows no compression. This doctor clearly defines the various symptoms to look for, to rule out other conditions
